APB Announcement: Dance of the Determined

Loren Beale, A&E Editor

There has been a lot of hype leading up to the Dance of the Damned this year, it seemed as if the entire school was buzzing about the new off campus location. But due to fire safety regulation, among other things, the venue has deemed itself as the one that got away. Above all of this, however, APB has shown to be strong under pressure in this stressful time of change. Even with the odds stacked against them, the club will still be bringing entertainment to UNE. The dance must go on.

With all that being said, APB will still deliver an insanely off the wall night. There are hordes of decorations that will most likely overrun the gym, and half a closet full of candy which will make up the candy bar. The crowds favorite costume contest will also be taking place with a new and improved way of determining the winners. As always, there will be a photo booth so groups can preserve the memories of the night. Some new things the dance will have this year is the 21+ cash bar, and pizza from Biddeford best, Portland Pie. APB is putting 110% into making Saturday night one to remember.

The president of APB, Jordan Campagnone, states “All APB e-board and general board have been working efficiently to spread the word of the change.” The time of the dance has been moved to be from 9pm to 1am and doors will be closing at 11pm. Also, every student who had purchased a ticket originally will be refunded. However, you still need to be sure to get a free ticket to attended. The sudden change will not affect the dance itself in any way. The biggest change is that students will no longer have to depend on a bus. Jordan also remarks that “APB is equipped to face these kinds of challenges and we plan to have everything running smoothly the night of the dance.”

This Saturday, October 29th, at 9pm the Dance of the Damned will begin. From the food to the music to the students in costume, you won’t want to miss out on a night such as this.
