With the fans in the stands, both teams warming and sizing each other up. The game was underway, and each team was ready to play. 

Students and families were piling into the stands, waiting to see which team would come up on top. The start of the game kicked off with a bang as UNE scored within the first minute, with number 23, Jaelen Jackson, shooting a 2-pointer lay-up. 

As the game went on, it felt like watching a game of pinball. One team would score, and then the other would as well. The UNE and Nichols fans were cheering hard and continuing to fire up their teams with each shot. It was a one-to-one game for the first half. At the end of the first half the score was UNE had a score of 36, and Nichols had a score of 33. 

At the start of the second half, each team came back with the same fire from before. However, Nichols did pull ahead with various shots and free throws. UNE came back with intensity. In the last minutes of the game, UNE scored several key points, from 3-pointers to good foul free throws. In the end, UNE lost, but it was a close and good game. UNE and Nichols played hard and were playing close to the chest and to the backboard.
