Resolutions and Allocations

This week is marked by a single request for approval from the Epidemiology club, a group organized around the discussion of matters relevant to public health.

  • The request was for the purchase of a variety of goods that will be donated to local hospitals. Goods include items such as masks and hand sanitizer.

From the Committees

A busy week for students brings a slow week for everything that doesn’t have an examination come up, and for those wondering USG isn’t graded so academics took a front seat. There are still exciting things coming down the pipes, so watch this space for updates.

  • Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion – This committee is continuing efforts to make the University of New England a more inclusive space. For this, they will be going through the female athlete alliance in order to survey the entire campus on their feelings regarding women’s athletics on campus. In addition to this, they are planning a movie night and in talks with Smitty’s Cinema regarding planning the event.
  • Student Affairs & Services – A quick reminder that you can use the Transact app to order food online at the pub so that it’s ready by the time you get there.

Student Life

  • USG still has spots that need to be filled! Check out the get involved page for more information if you’d like to be a part of an organization that is making positive changes on campus. Make your voice heard.

As we near the halfway mark of the semester it’s important to take some time to center yourself and properly prepare for upcoming midterm exams. Thanks for reading this week’s USG roundup, check this space same time next week for updates from the Undergraduate Student Government.
